Check your download
Windows says “Unknown publisher”? That is normal and harmless: our apps are not signed with a paid certificate. SmartScreen warns you on first launch — click More info, then Run anyway.
Each file has a SHA-256 hash, computed on the file actually served. If your download’s hash is identical, it has not been tampered with.

What the installer checks by itself: Overtchat Setup refuses an installer whose hash is not the one recorded when it was built, and the installer compares the website archive with the published hash — it stops if they differ, and gives up by default if the manifest cannot be reached. The full manifest is public.
